ResurFX is a newly FDA-approved device that builds upon prior laser skin resurfacing technology platforms such as Fraxel to improve fine lines and wrinkles, soften scars, improve skin texture and tone, and promote collagen growth. ResurFX offers results with minimal downtime during a nearly pain-free procedure. Fractionated non ablative laser resurfacing, sometimes referred to as Fraxel®, describes the use of an infrared laser to create zones of heat injury to the skin. This results in collagen production and skin tightening.

Sublative Rejuvenation with eMatrix is a unique procedure which uses radio frequency to deliver an effective but controlled ablative and non-ablative fractional treatment for wrinkles, scars, large pores and better texture of the skin. Similar to “Fraxel” it uses radiofreqeuency (electrical) energy, as opposed to laser. Each pulse delivers the radio frequency energy via a grid of matrix spots, inducing a skin injury which is maximized in these tiny, targeted areas. Fibroblasts activated within the “zones” signal collagen to regenerate and remodel, yielding improved skin tone and texture overall. Meanwhile, the surrounding “untreated” tissue then helps to support and accelerate the healing process in the skin.
Usually a series of three to five treatments are needed for optimal results.
Patients can expect a noticeable reduction of fine lines, wrinkles and acne and other scarring. In addition, patients will see an improvement in texture and skin laxity. On average, most results appear over a period of three to six months (it takes time for collagen to grow), but some patients notice results immediately after treatment.
